he fell for her
she fell for him hard
but treated him like shit
he couldn't put up with it
left her one day
now she prays
that she'll see him again
so they can begin
to spend thier life
as husband and wife
the years pass by
she still wonders why
all she can think about
is the one she's living without
one day a man comes along
and sings her a song
of love and loyalty
how could this be
that the one infront of her
is the one she's always loved
she held on tight
and treated him right
now she prays
that they'll always stay
happily together
inlove forever

It's getting (somewhat) better.
Here's an exercise: Write a poem that does not rhyme. At all. And yet still make it poetic. I think that will really help you, even with your rhyming poems. Just learn to not depend on the rhyming so much.

I'm just trying to help you vary up your style a bit. Art isn't just about expressing yourself, it's about expressing yourself in new and different ways, challenging yourself.
I also could have no idea what I'm talking about. You never know with me!
